![]() Patty Fleming: Studio Owner and Director ( Salmon Arm and Revelstoke). Owner
and
principle instructor, Patty Fleming, brings our studio its
incredible
energy and focus! She began dancing at the age of four in
Saskatchewan. Patty studied Chechetti Ballet, C.D.T.A. and Al Gilbert
Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Modern and was teaching for her studio by the
age of fourteen.
As a teen she competed
at many Dance Festivals and performed and toured with both " The Cathy
Mylrea Dancers" and " The Debutante Dancers".
Patty continued her studies in Modern Dance at Brigham
Young University, Idaho. She also completed the "Dance West"
program at Utah State
University.
Her own
personal performances include: Klondike Days, Calgary Stampede,
numerous televised Tele-Miracles, and T.V. Talent Finals. She
created, choreographed for, and performed
with the " Kindersley Variety
Dancers" at Expo
1986, in Vancouver, B.C.
Patty has been teaching Jazz, Tap, Modern, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Musical Theater and Conditioning for the last 24 years and loves it! Her passion for choreography rivals that love, and has been recognized at numerous festivals and competitions. She was awarded "Most Innovative Choreography" for her Senior Competitive Jazz Group at the "Vancouver Triple Threat Dance Convention 2003" Patty continues to extend her talents deeper into our community. She has choreographed 17 musical productions for local High Schools as well as the Shuswap Theater. Everyone who knows Patty will tell you that she is the driving force behind the growing dance community in this area. Her award winning choreography, boundless energy and up-beat approach to teaching has made her Studio the one that dancers want to go to. |
